That Noise? Was My Ego Deflating.

Today has been a pretty decent day. Despite the fact that I need to repair my vacuum so that I can vacuum my house, my sink is full of dishes, the beds aren't made, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to re-wash the load of laundry that I forgot in the washer.

It's absolutely beautiful outside. We played in the yard, read books, and watched some praying mantis in the blooming lilies. I did just over an hour on the elliptical machine, and didn't feel an urge to pass out or throw up (progress!). I'm having a decent hair day, and I put on a pair of pants that I haven't worn in a long time.

Then I settled down at the kitchen table to watch the episode of Glee that I missed last night. While this was happening, the Menace slipped in behind me and took a photo of my behind on her little Mickey Mouse camera. Oh. My. Goodness. Does my ass really look like that from behind? Because I'm going to sit up against a wall for the rest of my life if it does. (Or at the very least, until I reach my weight loss goals). Seriously. Apparently I should have stopped wearing aforementioned pants not because they were too small, but because they're COMPLETELY UNFLATTERING. Jeez.

I will be giving these pants to someone else. Who isn't me. I will never be wearing them again. I don't care that they're cool and comfortable. I don't care that they have pretty colors on them. I can't get that picture out of my head. I should attach it to the refrigerator to remind myself never to open it again. Gah!
